Professional Development

Public Schools

Teachers today are tasked with teaching not only high level curriculum and content but also important life skills, character building, and social skills. Our workshops and training address the need for building 21st Century learners in the classroom while presenting the arts and content area curriculum in a creative and highly motivating environment.

Enhance Arts Project offers a variety of both long-term and short-term interactive arts education experiences for students. We provide hands-on, inspirational mentoring and training opportunities for teachers and administration. Training focuses on the integration of the fine arts and content area objectives with equal emphasis and assessment of both curricula.

Professional Development includes accessing and implementation of high quality artistic training opportunities for educators working in public education settings. Trainings build skills capacity for the development or enhancement of music, dance, drama, media arts disciplines and/or integration of standards-based arts instruction with non-arts academic content. We can help to transform the teaching and learning environment by reinforcing the importance of including the arts and humanities as a critical component of an excellent education.

“Studies find that arts education engages students who are often underserved in public schools — including students from low socio-economic status (SES) backgrounds, ELLs and students with special needs — and that these students do better in arts-rich schools than in schools that do not have robust arts programs.”
